Tianna is a first-year medical student at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry where she has received the Dean's Merit Scholarship. She graduated from the Johns Hopkins University with a BA in Public Health and went on to receive her Masters from the Bloomberg School of Public Health with induction into the Delta Omega honorary society.
During her Masters, Tianna developed and studied an alternative recovery program for individuals with opioid use disorders. In her gap year, she worked full time as a medical scribe and edited medical school applications for Johns Hopkins University undergraduates. In her own application process, Tianna was extended 20 interview invites and after selectively choosing which of these to attend, she was offered 12 medical school acceptances.
Tianna has extensive mentoring experience as an ad hoc consultant for applicants to both MD and DO medical programs. She also has editing experience as the Executive Director of Blog Content at We Lead Surgery and editor for The Triple Helix Science Journal. Tianna looks forward to working with medical school applicants to develop and refine their application and interview skills while highlighting their strengths.
In her spare time, Tianna manages a blog called Mini Medicine: Diary of a Medical Student. You can read it here.
