Sumbul is an incoming MD/MPH student at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience at Agnes Scott College. During her gap year, she worked as a medical scribe in ophthalmology, gastroenterology, primary care, and psychiatry.
As an undergraduate, Sumbul mentored many pre-health college. She was a part of a mentorship program, Generating Excellence in Math and Science (GEMS), at Agnes Scott.
Sumbul is also a DACA recipient. She understands the struggles of applying to medical school as a DACA student. Since 2017, Sumbul has been active in immigrant rights since 2017 and hopes to improve access to health care for the underserved. She is excited to help others reach their dreams toward medicine and becoming a physician one day.
