Stephanie is a first year medical student at the University of Washington in Seattle. She graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Washington and Lee University in 2015 with a BS in Biology and minors in French and in Poverty Studies.
In college, she was captain of the varsity equestrian team, Recruitment Chair of Chi Omega sorority, and Biology Chair of Women in Technology and Science. She also completed a public health internship in Uganda in the summer of 2013 and studied French literature and art history abroad in Paris in 2014. Between graduating and matriculating at medical school, Stephanie studied HIV in women at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
Stephanie has worked as a private tutor for seven years, helping students with ACT/SAT and college essay preparation. She was also a youth mentor through several organizations. Stephanie hopes to work in academic medicine focusing on women's health in under-served areas.
