Sharon is a first year medical student at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She graduated as salutatorian and with Phi Beta Kappa from Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College CUNY with a B.A. in Biochemistry and Religion and a minor in Human Rights.
In undergrad, she enjoyed volunteering with senior citizens. She also conducted pancreatic cancer research and clinical research with Cornell. She is interested in global health and has participated in trips to Panama, Uganda, and India. During her gap year, she worked as a medical scribe in the Emergency Department.
Sharon volunteered as a biochemistry and organic chemistry teaching assistant throughout college and worked as an organic chemistry recitation instructor after graduation. She really enjoyed mentoring pre-medical students in these roles and is excited to help you reach the medical school that fits you best!
