Rose is a second year medical student at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She completed a bachelor’s degree in social anthropology at Barnard College of Columbia University in 2015 and then was lead clinical research coordinator for a study on obesity prevention in the workplace at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Rose is originally from Paris, France and grew up in Cambridge, MA.
Outside of medical school, Rose has a deep passion for writing. She is an award winning author and founder of the website, The Human Side (of Medicine), which challenges the notion that becoming a doctor is dehumanizing by focusing on what really matters in medicine and the extraordinary people who make the journey of becoming/being a doctor worthwhile.
