Nicole Van Spronsen
Nicole is a second year medical student at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock, Texas. She graduated summa cum laudefrom California Baptist University in 2016 with a BS in Biology (Pre-Medical Concentration) and minors in Global Studies and Nutrition.
In college, she played two years of volleyball, worked as a TA for the Biology department and participated in research in Microbiology. During the year between graduating and starting medical school, Nicole got married and worked as a medical scribe in family medicine and cardiology.
Nicole is very passionate about mentoring students and has participated in many mentorship avenues during college and continuing while in medical school. As a medical student, she participates as a Dean’s Ambassador where she helps run interview days and works events in her community. She is passionate about health and fitness and hopes to pursue a career in a surgical specialty.
