Javier Mora

Javier is a second-year medical student at the Medical College of Wisconsin. He graduated from Marquette University with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences.
As a medical student, Javier serves as an executive board member in his school's Latino Medical Student Association & Student National Medical Association chapters. In these organizations, he has led efforts to increase pre-medical mentorship and outreach opportunities by planning workshops, presentations, and networking events to aid pre-medical students in preparation for medical school applications & interviews. He is also involved in clinical research focusing on patient outcomes in pancreatic cancer. In his undergraduate years, Javier was a biology and chemistry tutor, as well as a teaching assistant to dental, nursing, and biomedical science students taking clinical and gross anatomy coursework. Before matriculating into medical school, Javier worked with a research team of physicians and investigators conducting clinical effectiveness research in children with chronic diseases like sickle cell disease, type 1 diabetes, and asthma. |
