Corbin D. Ester
Corbin is a second-year medical student (MD) at Harvard Medical School. He graduated from Appalachian State University in 2015 with a B.S. in Chemistry and minors in Biology and Medical Humanities.
Between graduation and matriculation, Corbin spent two years as a research fellow at the NIH in the postbac program. He spent one year working in the National Cancer Institute for a cancer bioinformatics research lab, and one year in the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism for a clinical alcohol research program. He has a strong interest in clinical medicine and clinical trials.
Throughout his undergraduate career, Corbin worked as a Peer Advisor in his school’s Health Professions Advising Office. In this role he mentored students in many aspects of the application process, from choosing coursework, to exploring summer research and volunteering experiences, and finally during the writing and interviewing portions of the application. He is passionate to use this experience in helping clients with their applications.
