Chinwe Osigwe

Chinwe is a first year at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She attended Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio and Graduated Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Biochemistry with minors in Chemistry, Sociology. Before medical school, She was a Post-baccalaurete Intramural Research Training Awardee (IRTA) in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in Bethesda, MD main campus. She worked on project that focused on finding new potential biomarkers for the rapid diagnostics for African River Blindness.
During undergrad she mentored first year female STEM students through the Women and Science and Engineering Roundtable and mentored K-12 students at schools partnered with the CWRU Leonard Gelfand STEM center. She wants to continue her passion in mentoring aspiring physicians. She is very excited to mentor and guide pre-medical students through the application process. |
