Akash is an incoming first-year student at Harvard Medical School. He graduated with honors from Johns Hopkins University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, after which he spent a year completing a retinal neurophysiology research fellowship at the National Eye Institute.
Akash’s interests are varied and lie in the realms of medical technology development, healthcare administration and global health—all of which he exposed himself to through various research, design and community-based service experiences in college.
He has past experience working with students to craft their medical school applications and has mentored students as an Organic Chemistry tutor and Organic Chemistry Laboratory TA for two years. He is enthusiastic when friends ask him to help edit materials or prep for interviews and would love to bring the same excitement to your application process!
